A collaboration between various nations  to create a single border for an island within its own country. The border was for the artists arriving from the ferry to attend the Susak expo. We wanted to discover if they wanted to discover if they would question the measures being taken to regulate the islands movement a people or if they would realise it was simply all an act.

Staging is an integral part of my process. The Simulation as such seems to be self-perpetuating in the 21st century and fuelled by both the artists desire for recognition and the audiences appetite for an archetypal commodified, destructive artistic identity. My work endeavours to interrogate the close relationship between authenticity and artifice, the ambiguous entaglement between biography and mythology, the fine line between documentary and drama.

Viking Burial (2016)
Film Film
A fictional contemporary Viking burial created for a modern Viking man on the Island of Susak in Croatia. A live painting performance recreating war wounds that never were. After an archaeological dig the man believed Vikings once walked and fell on the island; an artistic tribute to those who were never buried.
